Catching Up

Boy how time flies!!  I can't believe that it has been a while since I updated.  Tonight the older 3 are spending the night with a family from church, so Jamie, Chara, Jarrett and I were going to watch the race, but since it is rained out, we are watching Night at the Museum in stead.  Great movie and maybe we can see the new one soon.  Not sure what we will do tomorrow, but it will be relaxing.

I hope you all have a good relaxing day tomorrow! I will post some new photos this week.  Have a good rest of your night.

A Busy Weekend!

We have had such a busy but good weekend!  Friday we went to Darlington to the race.  It was my first NASCAR race and it was so much fun.  Here are a few pictures...

Saturday we had a car wash and bake sale for our Mission Trip.  We did really well.  Thanks to everyone who helped out with it!

Sunday was a great Mother's Day!  It was a great family day.  It rained some but all in all was great.  This was over our house after the rain!

I am so glad that God keeps His promises!  Whatever He promises, He will do.  We can trust Him!  Take that with you this week!  Trust Him!

It's Been a Year?!!!

Can you believe that today is my "Blogoversary"? It has been 1 year already since creating "A Day in the Life."

God has taught me so much in the last year! He has also allowed me to do some really neat things. I was able to go to San Antonio to the LPL there. I got to hug some of my Siestas as well as meet Amanda Jones and Melissa Fitzpatrick Beth Moore's daughters. I watched God heal a little girl named Harper and asked for prayer for an angel named Emma.

God is using this blog world in mighty ways. I do not think I could have ever imagined that I would be able to get to know people in Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, California, and lots of others in between! People read my blog that I have never met and a lot I have. I just want to use my blog for God's glory.

So, I think in honor of this day, I will make a cake! Know that each of you is invited to share some! This is the great part, for those of us who are trying to lose weight, it doesn't have ANY calories! Have a great day and thanks for dropping by and helping me celebrate my Blogoversary!!! Don't forget today is
To! So eat some Mexican and have a great day!

Turtles, and Birds and Berries Oh My!!!

This is such a fitting title for our week.  We have had an adventure it seems like everyday!!! It started on Monday when I picked up some fresh strawberries at the stand in Aiken.  They come from North Augusta and are so good.

My friend Lisa about 7 or 8 years ago refreshed my memory to freezer jam.  My kids love it and we try to make some every year.  So, on Tuesday part of our school day was spent doing that.

Also on Monday, Jamie was trimming some bushes around the house and found this:

Look really closely and you can see the yellow beak of a baby bird.  He found a nest.

Thursday

The kids were playing outside and I heard Chase(our dog) barking like crazy.  Kaylee comes running in with this:

I told her be careful because it might be a snapping turtle.  Ya'll, she screamed and I told her to not drop it.  We put it in a box and eventually took it to the pond by the part and let it go.

It has been an eventful week!    I will close with this:

Jarrett sitting on the toilet at Jamie's softball game tonight.  Pulls the the toliet lid where it touches his back and says, "Look Mommy, I'm a turtle!"  Hysterical right!!!  I hope you have a great weekend.  Stay turned for the net fun filled episode!
