Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We did. The fourth was spent visiting friends houses for great food and fellowship. The fireworks got rained out, but that was okay because we desperately need rain! In fact, it rained for 3 days in a row! Thank you God!!

We have almost finished Kaylee's room. Jamie is still working on the closet organizer. IT is going to be so nice for Kaylee to have her own closet. The only thing I regret about her room is that my camera was dead and I did not take a before picture. I would have been to embarrassed to show it anyway. There was so much writing and such that it looked terrible. The walls were painted with flat paint so no amount of Magic Eraser would have gotten it off. Semi-gloss paint is the way to go with kids!! It all wipes off so well. Hopefully we are out of the writing on walls stage.

Here is a sneak peek of her room. I will post a picture when everything is done.
The other great thing is that our church service was great! Jamie preached on Is.6:1-8. It was very moving and I think some people actually got it. Sunday night we had a movie night and watched the movie Facing the Giants. It is such a great movie with a great message. "NOTHING is impossible with God." Which speaks to so many right now with the way the money situation is in America right now. The movie is more than football, it is about allowing God to reign in EVERY area of your life. From new vehicles, to winning football games, from keeping your job to getting pregnant. God wants all of our life not just part. When we truly give Him all, He will bless our socks off! If you haven't seen the movie, or even if you just need some encouragement to get you through the day, go here to watch the trailer, you will be glad you did! Have a wonderful day, and remember, NOTHING is too big for our God!

Hey, her room looks great! I love the polka dots and the two colors of paint. I can't wait to see the finished product - I bet she is so excited!
